Jackson (5)- mom
This one is special to me. With all of the struggles Jackson has had with low muscle tone, this was a break through. A couple of days ago I showed him how to type "mom" on the computer. Today, he was busy drawing on a piece of paper. Then he asked me for some tape so he could hang it up. As we put it up, I realized what he'd drawn... what he'd WRITTEN. "Mom" over and over again. "Mom" was one of the first words he spoke and now "Mom" is his first written word. So proud of him! So excited for him!

Kobe Writes

Kobe (7)
This first piece of writing was an answer from a test he took. His teacher typed it up and made it into an overhead transparency so she could show the class an example of a good answer. This happens often actually. I love that this came out of his head- especially the "tip toeing on the crunchy leaves."

Jackson (4)- "Rocket"

Kobe (7)- "A Sad Day"

This is actually a funny picture to us. It's the day the fish died- we'd been waiting a long time for it to die, so it wasn't sad. Also the picture shows my sorry looking mini rose plants that hardly even have any leaves.)

A Kobe Creation

This is a Kobe Creation from July '08 that I neglected to post. We were visiting my parents. Kobe (7) sat down at the table. He spotted some plastic cups and utensils on the table. This is what happened within a few minutes...

He then revisited his work after a trip to a sculpture garden...

The end result.
